The Gyro Project is a chic and minimalist design inspired by the beautiful Mediterranean Coast, infused with blue hues and natural elements all throughout. Bringing the exquisite Greek cuisine with a modern touch, the restaurant is described by Co-founder George Tenedios as “Fast-fine – being accessible for all-day, but sexy enough to drive dinner, too.”
The goal of the design was to create a Greek style fast-casual setting with elements of nature resulting in the perfect Mediterranean ambiance. To do so, we overcame challenges of the unification of these elements, allowing them to blend seamlessly. Adding the whitewash and gray tones in all aspects of the design allowed every element to blend effortlessly. From the whitewashed ceiling repurposed beams to the whitewashed wood banquettes created with Greek inspired upholstery, every element perfectly creates that Mediterranean, charming appeal.
This picture-perfect coastal atmosphere couldn’t be complete without a touch of greenery. Thus, making it imperative to feature the white bougainvillea flower wrapping around the reclaimed center column as well as the cerused white-oak green wall shelving with varying undulating protrusions. Incorporating these elements in the design made the Gyro Project a top tier destination for fast casual dining.
